Life Changes Through LACIP-ID Component (COs Saving/ Internal Lending)

Jhok Makka is one of the remote villages in UC Parova, District Dera Ismail Khan. It is located 42 Km away from D.I.Khan on main Multan road on south side. It sacks approximately 500 People. There are much more problems in village such as education, health, and basic needs of daily life. The people are mostly illiterate due to extreme poverty and most common occupation of the people’s is daily wages labor.

Reshima is 30 years old women living with her husband Azhar. She and Azhar had an arranged marriage in which she feels content, saying, “We are happy.” They have four children two sons and two daughters. The Elder boy currently attends school but stays with relatives because the couple has trouble managing his education costs. Her husband is a daily wages labor and almost he was unable to find the daily wage. So there is no proper source of income. After LACIP AHO intervention Reshma got intact with female COs and become a sort of activist and at that platform she started independent approach on how to support her family / husband.
