Welcome to AHO
Asia Humanitarian Organization (AHO) is a non-political, non- governmental and not-for-profit organization established in 2002. It was formally registered in 2003 under Joint Stock Companies and Societies Act XXI 1860 NWFP-Peshawar- Pakistan.
AHO has Economic Affairs Division (EAD) Islamabad, FATA Secretariat Social Welfare and Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees (CAR) registrations.
This is of utmost importance that AHO has been working to respond to the needs of both rural and urban communities of Pakistan specifically in the Province of KP and regions of FATA. A tremendous and consistent impactful progress has been made in achieving results under the core and sector areas of Emergency Response Programs, Advocacy and Social mobilization for Human Institutional Development, Livelihoods Enhancement & Protection, Physical Infrastructure Schemes, Disaster Preparedness and Mitigation, building new partnership with multinational organizations and expansion of development cooperation with both Government and non government sectors of Pakistan.
During the past decades, Pakistan has been prone to physical, social, economic and environmental vulnerabilities with least coping capacity and due to all this, there has been a response gap for the humanitarian community to fill the required gap. Lack of proper Health, Education, Infrastructure, Agriculture, WASH and livelihood opportunities has compelled development partners to devote much of its time in planning, strategy making and practical response making to address these challenges.
In nutshell, AHO’s interventions are planned to create a peaceful society where the communities have all kind of liberties to exercise their basic rights and lead a secure, peaceful and healthy life. Whereas, the specific focus of AHO remains on the marginalized, helpless and poverty ridden communities.
It has been of an immense importance and professional growth that Asia Humanitarian
Organization has successfully achieved the status of signing Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) with Government of Pakistan Economic Affairs Division Islamabad.
AHO completed and provided clean and sufficient drinking water to the hundreds of residents
of Village Narari Central Kuram Agency FATA, which is a unique and historic intervention for
them as it was requested to so many times to Government Actors since 1988. Now Under PHPF
UNOCHA Fund AHO provided clean drinking water through Solarization & Gravity Fed
mechanism to the doorstep of community. It helped to reduce the daily burden and time
wastage of each family of the village by walking for an average of 15 to 60 Minutes on steeps
and uneasy elevation for fetching water from decades old spring at one end of the village.
I am delighted to lead and guide AHO’s role in responding to the general and specific needs of poorest and needy communities of Pakistan. It has been prolific that AHO have made tremendous progress in terms of Emergency Response Programs, Social mobilization outreach for Human Institutional Development, Livelihoods Enhancement & Protection, Physical Infrastructure Schemes, Disaster Preparedness and Mitigation, building new partnership with multinational organizations and expansion of development cooperation with both Government and non government sectors of Pakistan.
In today’s globalized world i will plead to appeal the financial as well social institutions around the world to come up and join hands with AHO and help to heal the needy and suffering communities of the world regardless of any religion, color and creed. Even today, hundreds of thousands of poor suffering communities are still in need of help and supportive response that makes it a challenge for AHO and all humanitarian community of the world.
I appeal the humanitarian teams of the world to come forward and utilize their skills, capabilities and learning in making this world a better place of peace, social integrity and service facilitation.
I owe special thanks to AHO teams and related stakeholders hence confident that we will continue our efforts highest zeal and passion in the coming years of AHO.
